AU where Jowan is the Hero of Ferelden.

The whole party is continually plagued by bad luck, including but not limited to tents being set up on hornets’ nests or deceptively “solid” ground that turns out to be quicksand; weather so terrible that some begin to speculate that the Maker is deliberately screwing with them; and that one time in Denerim when Jowan got beaten up by six-year-olds. Over the course of the quest, he gets struck by lightning fifteen times.

Later reports of him screaming like a terrified child and tripping over his own boots all throughout the final battle with the Archdemon are all flatly denied.
